Jonquil Challenge

I was lucky (and fast) enough to purchase the Jonquil Challenge kit from Andrew Thornton.

Here is what we were sent:
This is the mystery component, I just love it!
And here is what I made, I did a pair of earrings with the faceted drops and some wood rings I had from my stash and Vintaj ear wires.  Yellow is not an easy color for me to work with, that's one of the reasons I bought the kit - trying to push myself a little.
I also made a bracelet with the chain:
I've been playing with the seed beads, I think they will be great in free form peyote.  I'll post a picture when that is done.
And here is Ninja, he was trying to drive me crazy help me make everything:

Here is the list of participants, please take a look at what everyone made:

Earrings and Other Goodies

I was lucky enough to win this pair of earrings from Fredbean's Nook.  I love them, thank you Emma!!

I also bought a pair of earrings from Jewelry by Jeannie too.  Her packaging is gorgeous!

I love the thank you card.  And of course the earrings, they are just beautiful:
And she included some lovely free beads with the earrings!  Thank you Jeannie!

I also got my order from the Hole Bead Shop, I won a contest on their blog in December and this is what I purchased with my gift certificate.  And they gave me candy too!!!  Everything came on the same day, it was like Christmas!!

And here is a kitty picture, I can't leave you without some cuteness. This is George.  He's 15, and such a sweet kitty.

Laughter and Beads

If you haven't seen the Beaded Laughter blog, you need to take a look.  Sylvie takes requests (bribes) and they are well worth it.

And I've been using these planners to help with my word for the year, which must be working because this is my second blog post in a less than a week!  Thank you Kristen, they are great!!

And now for some Basset cuteness:

This is Gunter, he was just a baby here, probably the week we brought him home.  He's going to be 6 in February.  I can't believe how fast time goes!
Here are both boys playing with (destroying) a squeaky toy.  That is Gunter's very favorite thing in the world to do.
