Laughter and Beads

If you haven't seen the Beaded Laughter blog, you need to take a look.  Sylvie takes requests (bribes) and they are well worth it.

And I've been using these planners to help with my word for the year, which must be working because this is my second blog post in a less than a week!  Thank you Kristen, they are great!!

And now for some Basset cuteness:

This is Gunter, he was just a baby here, probably the week we brought him home.  He's going to be 6 in February.  I can't believe how fast time goes!
Here are both boys playing with (destroying) a squeaky toy.  That is Gunter's very favorite thing in the world to do.

Word For 2012

I've been reading a lot of New Years resolutions and words.  I stopped doing resolutions, because I never was able to keep to my list for a whole year and didn't like failing.  I love the idea of a word though, so I'm going to try it this year.  And hopefully putting it out here for other people to see will help.

My word for 2012 is

DO

I really need to do more, rather that just talking about it or thinking about it.  That is my goal for the new year.  One of my goals is to keep up with the blog more.  I started it so I could do jewelry challenges, but I should be posting a lot more than I do.

And I can't leave you without some basset cuteness for your day:

This is Wulfgang.  He's 4 and absolutely adorable, although I may be a little biased.   He is 50 pounds of snuggly smooshy basset hound.  Have a wonderful Saturday!

I Heart Macro - EEEK!

I am trying something new today, linking up to Lori at Studio Waterstone today for I Heart macro: close up photo fun for macro makers and the camerologically challenged - which certainly includes me!

Anyone that knows me will be floored that I actually took this picture.  I still feel like I have things crawling on me (I HATE spiders) but this one has been putting a web up every day and I feel like anything that posseses that much patience should be recognized.

I was mowing the lawn last week and had to go around the web, it had the backyard blocked off from the front yard.  There was no way I was actually getting close enough to take the web down.  ick.

Here is some fuzzy caterpillar love for you to take away the icky spider feeling:
