Nicole Campanella (Beadwright) had a giveaway for her 60th birthday, and I was lucky enough to win it. She said she was going to stuff the envelope and wow did she!
Here is everything she sent, I laid it all out together. There is great book from Lark (50 Fun Fast Jewelry Projects), a book written by Nicole (Finished Backings and Beaded Edges) that I read immediately, and one of her flatwork kits with a really cool dichro cab. I've already started on that!
She included lots of needles and thread, a sampler pack of her wonderful bead backing (Nicole makes lovely bead backing for bead embroidery, it comes in lots of pretty colors and it's wonderful to work with), and just tons of beads. Here is a picture of the beads:
And I had my new lightbox out so I thought I'd take some pictures of the bigger beads out of the plastic. And yes I need practice, it didn't come with instructions and I have no clue what I'm doing:
There are those pretty leaf beads (I feel earrings coming on) and ceramic buttons, and several beautiful lampwork beads. I am so excited I don't know where to start!
Thank you Thank you Thank you Nicole for the wonderful giveaway!! I will make sure to post pictures of what I make - I have so many ideas swimming around in my head.
Right now I'm working on my piece for the Cocktail Hour Blog Party, so be sure to come back Sunday and see what I made.
