UnFinished Objects Blog Hop

About a month ago, I joined a support group.  I finally admitted that I have a problem.  Sometimes when I'm beading, something goes wrong - I miss a loose thread, or a wrong stitch, and get frustrated and it goes in a drawer.  Sometimes I get bored with whatever I am working on, or have a deadline for another project and the current one goes in a drawer.  My UFO (unfinished object) drawer is almost full.  So when Karen Williams at Baublicious sent an email out asking for people to join a support group for unfinished objects, I jumped at the chance.  I do so much better when I have a deadline.  I am hoping that my drawer will empty soon (or at least less full).  Today, it has one less item in it!

Here is what it looked like when I took it out of the drawer, I am making a rope to go with a pendant my husband bought for me.  I am embarrased to say this has been sitting for over a year.  I was bored, put it down to make something else, and it went into the black hole - I mean drawer.

And here is the (finally)! finished piece:

I am so glad to be finished and able to wear it!

Here is the piece I will be working on next (it hasn't been sitting long, but I had to put it aside to finish my UFO):

Thank you for stopping by to see what I did, and thank you Karen for organizing this group and the blog hop!!

Color Blog Hop

Hi Everyone!!  Today I am joining Lisa at Pine Ridge Treasures for the Color Blog Hop.  We all purchased a kit from Lisa and were able to choose a color for the kit.  Of course, I chose blue.  I even remembered to take a before picture:

All that beautiful blue - thank you Lisa, these beads are gorgeous and a great mix!

The first thing I did was decide that I was going to learn how to wire wrap those briolettes.  I have tried several times before and wasn't successful.   So I kept trying, and then it clicked, so I made some earrings.  I still need some more practice since they are a little wonky, but I am happy to wear them.

Then I went looking for beads to go with that pretty aquamarine.  I found a focal, some cord, and a few other beads.  And I had this design screaming in my head to get out.  So I started.

And then I had to work 60 hours this week.  Unfortunately, that is all I've been able to get done.  I will post it when I finish in Lisa's Facebook group and here on the blog.  I have plans for the rest of the beads too, more ideas swirling around in my head that I can't wait to get to.  Please take a look at what the other participants did with their kits;

French Countryside Blog Hop

Hi Everyone!  Today I am joining Lisa at A Grateful Artist for another blog hop.  This time the theme is French Countryside.

I did forget to take a before picture.  I ended up with a pair of earrings, a bracelet and a necklace.
Here are the earrings, everything except the ear wires were from the kit.:

I love them, they are so pretty and feminine.

I had some gorgeous red Czech glass beads and some silver spacers in my stash, I added them to the black seaglass that came in the kit, this is my favorite piece.

And here is my necklace, the black beads are from the kit, everything else is from my stash.  I guess I was in a black and red mood lol.

Thanks for taking a look at what I made, please check out the other participants.  Thank you to Lisa as always for sending a great kit and hosting the hop.

Favorite Things Blog Hop

Hi Everyone!  Today I am once again joining Lisa at Pine Ridge Treasures for a blog hop.  This one is called Favorite Things.

Lisa always sends great beads to work with and this time was no exception.  Here is a (crappy - sorry) picture of what I started with:

I ended up with two pairs of earrings, a bracelet and a necklace.  These are the earrings:

The red beads were from my stash, I love them with those silver crystals - actually I just love those silver crystals.  Here is the bracelet:

The pink crystals and the bead caps were from a previous kit from Lisa. Finally the necklace:

I usually make longer necklaces, this one is 16 inches.  I really like the way it turned out though.

Thanks for stopping by to see what I did, here is the list of participants  Please take a look at what they created with their kits.  Thank you Lisa for hosting!!

Sunny Day Blog Hop

Today I'm joining Lisa at Pine Ridge Treasures again for the Sunny Day Blog Hop.

Lisa always sends the best kits, I always know I will love whatever she sends us.  Here is my kit (yes I remembered to take a picture)!

I had so many ideas, the beads were awesome and really spoke to me.  The focal on this one says Hope, it's a little hard to see in the picture.

I already had the purple squares, and I thought they would look great with the crystals from the kit:

They made great earrings too:

I did these pieces at the same time I was doing the pieces from the black and white hop, I used the white seaglass pieces from the black and white kit with the green and white rounds from this kit.

I had to do earrings with the bird charms and the yellow rectangles.  They were screaming at me to be earrings.

I had so much fun with these beads!  Thanks for taking a look at what I did, please make sure to look at what the other participants did with their beads.

Black and White Blog Hop

Hi Everyone!  Today I am joining up again with Lisa from Pine Ridge Treasures for another blog hop.  I love Lisa's hops, she is always very generous with her kits, and her themes are great.  This time, the theme was Black and White.  Here is what I received:

Sorry, it's a crappy picture I took with my phone, but at least I remembered to take one!

I didn't have any problems coming up with designs for this hop.  I had the perfect focal to go with a black and white necklace.

I also made a pair of earrings to go with it:

I also made a necklace with the silver key and the pearls:

I am trying to get better pictures, it's really a challenge for me.  What do you think of the driftwood?  I have another necklace with the white seaglass, but I used beads from the kit for the next hop with it, so you will see that one at the end of July.

Thanks for joining me, and please take a look at what everyone else made with their kits.  As always, my thanks to Lisa for hosting the hop and sending our awesome kits!

Gentle Spring Blog Hop

Hello Everyone!!  I am joining Lisa at Pine Ridge Treasures again for another blog hop.  This one is called Gentle Spring.

Lisa is always very generous with her kits.  I love everything in this one. I actually remembered to take a before picture!

I made a necklace, and I'm working on a bracelet with those pretty purple marbled beads and the cord, but I haven't finished it yet.  Here is the necklace:

And here is the reason I haven't finished the bracelet yet.  Someone likes to try and chew on the cord.

His name is Mozart and he is 15 weeks old now.

Thanks for joining me, and please take a look at what the other participants created with their beads.
